Use this calculator to get the initial compass bearing of the shortest path on a sphere between two points. Enter start and end latitude and longitude in decimal degrees.
The formula is the standard forward azimuth from spherical trigonometry, wrapped to 0–360. Milan to Rome starts around 143°. 0 is north, 90 east. Distance belongs on a geo-distance tool. Magnetic declination is not applied; this is true (geographic) bearing.
