Use this dividend calculator for a quick yield, how much of earnings is paid out, and a Gordon DDM ceiling. The model treats today’s DPS as D0 and next year’s dividend as D1 = DPS × (1 + g). Required return must exceed growth.
Yield = DPS ÷ price. Payout = DPS ÷ EPS. Gordon value = D1 ÷ (ke − g). Retention is 1 − payout. This is not a multi-stage DDM.
DPS (last): Last twelve months’ dividend per share (D0).
Price: Current share price.
EPS: Earnings per share for the same stretch as DPS.
Growth (%): Expected perpetual growth of the dividend, e.g. 3 for 3%.
Required return (%): Cost of equity ke, e.g. 9 for 9%.
Yield (%): DPS as a percent of price.
Payout (%): DPS as a percent of EPS.
Gordon value: Model price from D1 / (ke − g).
