Use this calculator after a bomb-calorimeter run: the water plus bomb absorbed a known energy and you weighed the sample.
The calculation is q per mole = total heat / moles burned. The sign follows what you type: enter heat released as a negative number if you want ΔcH negative.
This is a division of the lab total by moles. It does not compute m·c·ΔT for you, and it does not correct for the fuse or nitric acid unless those joules are already in the heat box.
Heat q (J): Total heat in the energy unit you want back per mole, typically joules from the calorimeter energy equivalent.
Moles burned: Moles of sample combusted. Grams divided by molar mass.
q per mole (J/mol): Heat per mole in the same energy unit as q.
