Calculate ream or job weight from grammage, sheet area, and sheet count.
| Weight | – |
Use this for a print quote, postage, or a pallet plan. Weight = (g/m² ÷ 1000) × sheet area × sheets. 80 g/m² A4 (0.06237 m²) in a 500-sheet ream is about 2.49 kg. US letter is about 0.0605 m². Card stock is just a higher gsm. Grammage stays in g/m² (ISO 536); sheet area can be m² or ft².
g/m²: Grammage of the stock.
Sheet: Area of one sheet.
Sheets: How many sheets.
Weight: Total mass of that stack.
