Filament plus electricity cost for a print job.
| Cost | – |
Use this calculator to estimate material and power cost for a 3D print. Enter filament used, spool price per kilogram, print hours, electricity price per kWh, and average printer watts. Filament can be grams (g), ounces (oz), or pounds (lb); the unit selector converts to grams before the formula.
Material = (grams / 1000) × price per kg. Energy kWh = (watts / 1000) × hours. Cost = material + kWh × rate. 80 g at 22/kg and 6 h at 120 W, 0.25 per kWh is about 1.76 + 0.18 = 1.94. Failure reprints, labour, and bed adhesive are extra.
Filament: Plastic used. Enter g, oz, or lb.
Price / kg: Spool price per kilogram of filament.
Hours: Print time.
Price / kWh: Electricity price.
Watts: Average printer draw.
Cost: Material plus electricity.
