Use this calculator to turn downtime into an availability percent over a named window. Enter minutes down and the period length in hours.
Uptime % = 100 × (period minutes − downtime) / period minutes. 43.2 minutes down in a 720 hour month is 99.9%. SLA nines are marketing until you name the window. Planned maintenance may or may not count; this tool only does the arithmetic. Downtime cannot exceed the period.
