Use this for a cistern, a well, or a round tank. Volume = π × (diameter ÷ 2)² × depth. 1.2 m diameter and 8 m of water is about 9.05 m³ (9050 L). Real wells are not perfect cylinders. Diameter and depth can be metres or feet; litres follow as litres or gallons. m³ stays in cubic metres.
