Convert an HbA1c percentage to estimated average glucose in mg/dl and mmol/L.
| eAG (mg/dl) | – |
| eAG (mmol/L) | – |
Use this calculator to turn a laboratory HbA1c (NGSP percent) into estimated average glucose (eAG). It is the ADAG conversion, not a diagnosis of diabetes and not an IFCC mmol/mol converter.
The calculation is: eAG (mg/dl) = 28.7 × HbA1c − 46.7. mmol/L = mg/dl ÷ 18.018. Enter HbA1c as a percent, for example 7 for 7%.
Individual glucose traces still vary around this average. This page does not use the IFCC mmol/mol scale.
HbA1c: Laboratory A1c as a percent (NGSP).
eAG (mg/dl): Estimated average glucose in milligrams per decilitre.
eAG (mmol/L): The same estimate in millimoles per litre.
