Estimate the volume and mass of a solid rectangular box from size and density.
| Volume (m³) | – |
| Mass | – |
Use this calculator for a solid block, a packed crate, or any rectangular prism whose bulk density you know. Enter length, width, height, and density in kg/m³.
Volume (m³) = length × width × height. Mass = volume × density. Length, width, and height can be entered in metres (m) or feet (ft). Mass is shown in kilograms (kg) or pounds (lb). Density stays in kg/m³.
This treats the box as solid. It does not deduct voids, packaging, or moisture.
Length: Long side, in m or ft.
Width: Short side, in m or ft.
Height: Height, in m or ft.
Density (kg/m³): Bulk density. Water is 1000; a packed crate is often much less.
Volume (m³): Volume in cubic metres.
Mass: Estimated mass from volume × density.
