Convert megabytes to gigabytes, or bytes to terabytes, using decimal SI prefixes.
| Result | – |
Use this for disk quotes, download sizes, and cloud bills that list GB and TB. Type the size, pick the labelled unit, then pick the unit you want.
This uses decimal SI only: 1 KB = 1000 bytes, 1 GB = 10⁹ bytes. Hard-drive makers use this; some operating systems still show kibibytes (1024). It is storage size, not transfer speed.
Value: The size you have, in the unit chosen under From.
From: The unit that number is labelled with (MB, GB, TB…).
To: The unit you want to read it in.
Result: The same size in the To unit.
