Use this for GPS, maps, and survey notes that mix 45.5125° with 45° 30′ 45″. Choose From, then fill either the decimal box or the three DMS fields.
Decimal = degrees + minutes/60 + seconds/3600. Minutes and seconds must be under 60. A negative degree carries the sign; this is a single angle, not a lat/long pair with N/S labels.
Decimal degrees: The angle as a decimal degree, e.g. 45.5125, used when From is decimal.
Degrees: Whole degrees (negative if west or south), when you start from DMS.
Minutes: Arcminutes, 0–59.
Seconds: Arcseconds, 0–59.999…
From: Decimal if you typed one number; DMS if you typed deg, min, and sec.
