Use this calculator on a paired fasting sample. HOMA-IR = (glucose in mg/dl × insulin in µU/ml) / 405. QUICKI = 1 / (log10 insulin + log10 glucose in mg/dl).
This is a fasting pair only, not a clamp test. Cut-offs vary by laboratory. Glucose must be in milligrams per decilitre, not mmol/L.
Fasting glucose (mg/dl): Morning glucose in mg/dl.
Fasting insulin (µU/ml): Morning insulin in µU/ml (same as mU/L).
