Use this pizza size calculator at the counter (or the delivery app) with a 12-inch and a 16-inch at different prices, or when planning how many pizzas to order for guests.
Area of each deal is count × π × (diameter ÷ 2)². Price per area is price ÷ that area, in the same area units as the diameter (cm² or in²). The cheaper-per-area pick is whichever price-per-area is lower. Party “need” is guests × slices each × 80 square inches per slice (about a generous personal portion), converted to the same area system. This is not a Neapolitan dough calculator; use baker’s percent for dough. Diameters default to inches and can be switched to centimetres.
Pizza A diameter: Diameter of pizza A. Type 12 for a 12-inch pie, or 30 if you work in centimetres.
How many A: How many of pizza A you would buy.
Price A: What pizza A costs, in your currency.
Pizza B diameter, how many B, price B: The same for the second deal.
Guests and slices each: How many people and how many slices you expect each to eat. 3 is a typical adult at a party.
Area A / B: Total pizza area of each deal.
Price / area: Cost per unit area; lower is better value.
Cheaper per area: Which deal wins on price per bite.
Area to aim for: Suggested total area for the party.
