PPM Converter

Treat ppm, ppb, and mg/L as the same dilute-solution scale when a water report mixes them.

About this calculator

Use this for drinking-water notes and lab sheets where 1 ppm is taken as 1 mg/L in water. Type the concentration, pick the unit on the report, then pick the unit you want.

Conversion is linear: 1 ppm = 1 mg/L = 1000 ppb in this tool. That mg/L ≈ ppm jump holds for dilute water, not for dense solvents or air in mg/m³.

Value: The concentration number from the report.

From: ppm, ppb, or mg/L — whichever the report used.

To: The unit you want to read it in.

Result: The same concentration in the To unit.
