Use this calculator to order caulk for a rectangular joint. Enter the joint length, width, depth, and the cartridge size.
Volume in ml = length (m) × width (mm) × depth (mm). That identity holds because 1 m × 1 mm × 1 mm = 1 ml. Cartridges = ml ÷ cartridge size. Length can be entered in metres (m) or feet (ft). Width and depth can be entered in millimetres (mm) or inches (in). Sealant volume can be shown in millilitres (ml) or fluid ounces (fl oz). Cartridge size follows the same volume unit.
This is a rectangular joint. It does not add waste, a backing rod void, or a triangular fillet.
Length: Joint length, in m or ft.
Width: Joint width, in mm or in.
Depth: Sealant depth, in mm or in.
Cartridge size: Volume of one cartridge, often 310 ml.
Volume: Sealant volume.
Cartridges: Number of cartridges.
