Estimate ethanol grams from serving volume and ABV, then convert to standard drinks.

Use this calculator for grams of ethanol = millilitres × (ABV% ÷ 100) × 0.789, then drinks = grams ÷ grams per drink. UK and much of the EU often use 8–10 g; a US standard drink is about 14 g. This is a pour identity, not a BAC or a liver-risk model.
Volume can be entered in millilitres (ml) or fluid ounces (fl oz); the calculator converts to millilitres before the formula. Ethanol mass is shown in grams (g), ounces (oz), or pounds (lb).
Volume: Serving size, in ml or fl oz.
ABV (%): Alcohol by volume on the label.
g / drink: Grams of ethanol that define one drink in your table.
Ethanol: Mass of ethanol in the serving.
Drinks: Serving divided by the chosen standard drink.
