About this calculator

Use this for cooking and lab work when a recipe is in grams and the ladle is in ml (or the other way). Type the amount, pick whether it is ml or g, then type density in g/ml.

Mass (g) = volume (ml) × density (g/ml). Water is about 1. Oils are lighter; honey and syrups are heavier. Density must be positive. This is not a full kg/L converter.

Amount: How much you have, in ml or grams matching From.

From: ml if you measured volume; g if you weighed.

Density (g/ml): Grams per millilitre — 1 for water, about 0.92 for olive oil.

ml: Volume in millilitres.

g: Mass in grams.
