Use this calculator to get two common cricket rates from a batting and bowling line. Enter runs scored and balls faced for strike rate, and runs conceded and wickets taken for bowling average.
Batting strike rate = (runs ÷ balls) × 100, runs per 100 balls. 50 off 40 is a strike rate of 125. Bowling average = runs conceded ÷ wickets; a lower number is better for the bowler. You need at least one ball faced and at least one wicket for the two rates.
This is not Duckworth-Lewis, net run rate, or an economy-rate table. It does not split overs into balls for bowling economy.
Bat runs: Runs scored while batting.
Balls faced: Legal balls faced.
Runs conceded: Runs given while bowling.
Wickets: Wickets taken. Must be at least one for an average.
Strike rate: Runs per 100 balls.
Bowl avg: Runs conceded per wicket.
