Use this calculator as a first filter when buying a dog harness. Measure the chest where a harness actually sits, snug around the ribs just behind the front legs. Brands cut differently; always check the maker's chart before you buy.
Size bands from girth: XS under 35 cm, S under 45 cm, M under 60 cm, L under 80 cm, otherwise XL. Enter the girth in centimetres (cm) or inches (in); the calculator converts to centimetres before applying those bands.
Chest girth: Circumference around the ribs just behind the front legs. Use cm or in.
