Use this calculator to estimate theoretical range from battery energy and consumption. Enter the pack size in watt-hours and the energy used per kilometre.
Range (km) = battery watt-hours ÷ watt-hours per kilometre. A 500 Wh pack at 10 Wh/km is about 50 km. Hills, cold weather, a heavy rider, low tyre pressure, and turbo assist all push consumption up and shorten range.
This is a simple energy budget, not a manufacturer range test. Assist level, wind, and stops matter more than the sticker on the downtube. The result is shown in kilometres (or miles if you later change display units).
Battery: Pack energy in watt-hours. 500 Wh is a common mid-size battery.
Wh / km: Consumption. 8–12 Wh/km is a gentle road assist; steep hills are higher.
Range: Estimated distance the pack can cover at that consumption.
