The calculation multiplies body weight by a commonly cited milligrams-per-kilogram midpoint: diphenhydramine 2.2 (dog) / 1 (cat); cephalexin 22 for both; meloxicam 0.1 / 0.05; tramadol 3 / 2; EPA+DHA 100 / 50. You can enter weight in kilograms (kg) or pounds (lb); the calculator converts to kilograms before the formula. Amount is milligrams of active ingredient, not millilitres of a product.
