Estimate how much turf to order after adding a waste allowance for cuts and edges.
| Order | – |
Use this calculator after you have measured the lawn. Add a waste percent so you are not short after trimming around beds, paths, and curves. A 5–10% allowance is common; more complex shapes need more.
The calculation is: order area = measured area × (1 + waste ÷ 100). Area can be entered in square metres (m²) or square feet (ft²); the unit selector converts values automatically and the order result follows the same area unit.
This is a materials estimate. It does not subtract existing turf you will reuse, nor does it convert rolls or pallets into pieces.
Area: The lawn you measured.
Waste: Extra percent for offcuts. Type 10 for 10%.
Order: Turf area to buy, including the waste allowance.
