About this calculator

Use this calculator for sin, cos, and tan of an angle measured in degrees (not radians). 30° gives sin = 0.5, cos ≈ 0.8660254, tan ≈ 0.57735027. The angle is converted internally as radians = degrees × π / 180.

Tangent is undefined at odd multiples of 90° in exact arithmetic; IEEE may return a huge number instead of an error. Inverse functions (angle from a ratio) are on the inverse-trig page. Secant, cosecant, and cotangent are 1/cos, 1/sin, and 1/tan if you need them.

Angle (°): The angle in degrees.

sin: Sine of the angle.

cos: Cosine of the angle.

tan: Tangent of the angle.
