Use this calculator to compare powerlifting totals across bodyweights with the 1994 Wilks coefficients. Enter sex, bodyweight, and the three-lift total (squat + bench + deadlift). Bodyweight and total can be in kilograms (kg) or pounds (lb); the unit selector converts both masses to kilograms before the calculation, which is how the Wilks polynomial is defined.
Coefficient = 500 ÷ (a + b·x + c·x² + d·x³ + e·x⁴ + f·x⁵), where x is bodyweight in kilograms and a–f are the published male or female coefficients. Wilks points = total in kilograms × coefficient. A 90 kg lifter with a 600 kg total lands in a typical local-meet band.
IPF GL and DOTS are newer scales; this is the older Wilks still used in many gyms. It is not a drug-tested classification and it does not split equipped from raw.
Sex: Which Wilks polynomial to use.
Bodyweight: Scale weight. Enter kg or lb.
Total: Squat + bench + deadlift. Use the same mass unit as bodyweight.
Coefficient: Wilks coefficient for that bodyweight.
Wilks: Points (total × coefficient).
